The 6th annual I Volunteer! Day on Saturday, April 25th, was a huge success. Despite the fog and drizzle, 300 volunteers completed service projects benefiting 18 local nonprofit and government agencies. We planted over 300 trees and shrubs, completed many landscaping projects and beautified gardens, we cleaned the Boulder Creek, assembled 2,000 ribbons for the Longmont Ending Violence Initiative, painted the interior of a home for at-risk teens, gave a face-lift to a local school, spruced up a playground for kids in emergency family assistance programs, and repaired numerous bikes for kids and people without transportation. These are just a few of the many wonderful projects we completed on this day.
What we accomplished on this one day with your help, would have otherwise taken one person working full-time over 6 months to complete. We completed 1,200 hours of volunteer service, all before lunch!! Thanks to all for being part of this amazing day!
